Prep for the Platform

Xion had just been getting into bed in her dorm, still working on coming to terms with everything. She turned her face to remind herself that Axel was there with her, then closed her eyes. And opened them when she was suddenly upright. She looked around, frantically, looking for Axel....
And it was fairly easy to spot him, his red hair standing out among the others on the train platform. He was standing nearby, looking just as confused as she was. "The heck...?", he said. "What in the-oof!" His question was abruptly cut short as he tried to take a step back, and ended up tripping over a backpack, which sent him falling on his butt.
He glared at it for a second before looking up and noticing her. "Xion...", he said, sounding relieved. "You alright?"
As soon as she saw him, she was running, hardly even noticing the bag she was carrying until she got to him, skidding to a stop. She dropped down next to him, eyes huge. "Where are we? Is Roxas here?" she asked, alarmed. Seeing him on the floor didn't help. She had seen his hair then saw him drop, but had missed how he had fallen and was afraid he'd been attacked... except that nothing seemed to be attacking them. She remained tense and ready anyway.
"Those are good questions," he said, getting to his feet and dusting himself off a little. Doing so drew his attention to the fact that his clothes had changed. Huh... One mystery at a time though. "Wish I had some good answers."
He took a longer look at their surroundings, frowning thoughtfully. "Looks like some kind of train station. It's not one that I've ever seen though. Anything look familiar to you?"
She stood up when he did. She looked around also then realized that there were a lot of people here. People She didn't know, which probably meant they were Somebodies. She reached for her hood to pull it up, which was when she noticed her sleeve... was blue...
She made a small strangled noise of surprise and distress as she looked down at herself, near to a panic.
The small noise he'd gotten in reply clued him in to the fact that Xion had noticed the change of wardrobe too. "Hey... it's alright," he said, resting a hand on her shoulder. "It's just a change of clothes. Sora mentioned that that happens sometimes; it's meant to help you fit in better on the world you landed in."
At least he was going to assume the same sort of magical effect was in play here, because the other option was some sort of cosmic weirdo changing people's clothes without their knowledge, and he'd rather not think about that. So magical transformation it was.
"But... my..." she started then stopped. Sora had said it? And it happened to Axel. She thought back on what they had discussed when she had spilled that potion on herself. She thought about all the worlds they had gone to on missions before, her, Roxas, him, the others... and how they'd all been in their uniforms every time. But now they weren't. And Roxas hadn't been in his uniform when she found him in Daitu... But Axel had been... hadn't he? But he had been a Somebody then. Right? Now she was getting confused. "Is this a Somebody thing...?" she asked, looking down at her clothes again, unsure. If it was then maybe that meant they were right and she did have a heart, but if that was the case why hadn't his clothes changed when he came to Daitu? Her head was starting to hurt.
"Not that I know of?", Lea said, scratching his head a bit thoughtfully. "It's just... a thing that's required to get by on some worlds and not stick out like a sore thumb, so if you're coming in from another world, you get a magic effect that kind of... adapts you, I guess." He shrugged. "I don't really understand how it works. I just know it doesn't happen on every world, just certain ones."
He looked around a bit more. "And judging by the other people here, these sort of outfits do seem pretty popular here." Indeed, everyone on the platform seemed to be wearing the same sort of outfit that he and Xion were. Some were colors other than blue, but aside from that, they were all virtually identical. "Probably best to just consider these our new uniforms, at least for now. That's kinda what they look like anyway."
Her shoulders slumped a bit and she nodded. She looked up at Axel, then realized that the clothes he was in had a hood. She went back to reaching behind her and found the hood on her own. It wasn't quite like the hood she was used to, but she was able to pull it up over her face. Too many new people here. "We need to find Roxas...."
Lea nodded. "Assuming he was brought here with us," he said. "No way to know for sure. Either way, though, we should look around. Maybe find out what kind of world this is and what's going on."
"Like... a recon mission...?" she asked quietly. Okay. She knew how to do those. She was okay at those. They weren't as easy as the fighting missions, but she could do it.
Lea smiled slightly. "Yeah, I guess it is," he said, patting her shoulder reassuringly and bending to pick up the backpack that he'd tripped over. He slung it over his farther shoulder, motioning with his head to indicate that they should get going. "C'mon. Let's see what we can find out."
She nodded and headed off with him, hood still up.
